Glen Grant’s new(ish) owner Campari is putting its money where its mouth is. Investment in plant, wood, and an impressive visitor center is slowly being backed up with a series of new releases. This venerable example comes from Gordon & MacPhail’s stocks, but is an official bottling due out in time for Christmas. This is GG in relaxed, avuncular mode: subtle woods, amber, Oolong tea, anise. The palate is old apple, fresh plum, cream, and ginger spiciness. (Available at the distillery, in France, and Travel Retail in Asia only.) —Dave Broom

Glen Grant can be quite good – I have a 34 YO bottled for the Nasty Boys and Duncan Taylor that is just outstanding.
Yeah it can be great, BJ. I use the old G&M 21 yo to introduce new drinkers to single malt– Stuff is smooth as cream.
Glen Grant has been ignored so long Red that other than G&M you really could not enjoy it – This portends good things to come

Yes it’s good to see more of Glen Grant but
when offered I chose the Glen Grant Cellar Reserve 1992. It’s a sweet dram of barley at 46% and
only 50 rather than 255 British Pounds.
It’s simply amazing how estery glen grant is young but how luscious and chewable it is old.
The current Glen Grant visitor centre is a delight, I visited earlier this year and it looked very expensive and very well done. Their gardens are spectacular.
