The people who will be bringing in Amrut Indian whisky to the U.S. will also be importing Sullivan’s Cove whisky. Sullivan’s cove is Tasmanian whisky, distilled  in a copper pot still.

The rep that I spoke with told me that new owners took over the distillery in 2001. The sample I tasted was about 7 years old and was matured in both port and bourbon casks. He also told me that there will be individual bottlings of port or bourbon.

Expect to see the whisky in the U.S. sometime around Labor day.
