Yes, that's the one. I was happy about the exposure they gave to Stranahan's. They are good people.

If its the same show I remember, I liked what they said about Stranahan's, the Colorado distillery that makes a nice young whiskey in Denver. It was a nice angle to take that was alternative and complementary to the focus on the big brands.

Red, they spent a lot of time on the big brands that are visible. That's understandable, I guess. I offered to point them to other, more cutting edge companies (Forty Creek, Bruichladdich, Compass Box, etc.,) but they didn't take me up on it.

Sam S. Yes, they were heavy on Jack Daniels and Jim Beam, as I recall. Glass in hand is they way to do it.

I think I remember seeing that last year.
Nice overview, but I think scotch was short-changed on time for the sake of diversity.
Maybe I'll watch it again, this time with glass in hand.

Your comments weren't hard to put up with, John. I thought what you had to say about scotch being a relatively affordable luxury was right to the point.

What was bothersome, though, was how much time they spent on Canadian Club. I guess each category was being represented by only one brand and I guess that Canadian Club is probably the best known Canadian whisky, but there are many better Canadian whiskies out there. I would have liked to see Forty Creek (probably too much to hope for) or, failing that, Crown Royal.
