Terry, Master Distiller Chris Morris also has a vast knowledge of history, so I'm sure he did his research before conducting the experiments. I have tasted th whiskey from differnt bottles and all have had the same flavor profile to me.

John,
Honestly, how can a spirits' taste be determined to be ready if that spirit hasn't been produced in nearly 150 years? Do archival records or recipes exist to compare? I have bottle #5794 / 12540, batch #4. Will each batch taste & finish differently? Will you say which batch you will sample? Looking forward to your notes. Terry

Tanguy, I'll do my best to get a photo in the posting along with the write-up. Sometimes I post information so far ahead of the release date of a product that there is no bottle shot available. (Sometimes the whisky hasn't even been bottled yet.) But, if I can get an image of the product, I'll post it up.

Dear John, I have been wanting to write for a while about showing the picture of the bottle in reference to your article. I have noticed that you have started to do that lately and I think it is a great idea because most of us do not have the priviledge to see many of the whiskies bottles in advance as you do. In some case, as it is in Michigan, many of the products don't even arrive here to the stores because we are a controlled State. So the pictures of the bottles and packaging when available are more than welcome to the readers.
Keep the excellent work you are doing and stay sober!
